What is Resolution 737?

This regulation aims to ensure that wireless devices available on the market comply with current technical and regulatory standards. As part of this regulation, it is required that a visible QR code be included on the packaging or on the product itself, which must link to a digital platform containing the technical documentation and regulatory compliance information for the device.
SUBTEL Regulations
Resolution 1985: The Basis for the Approval of Short-Range Equipment in Chile
It defines the technical categories of devices that use unlicensed radio spectrum, establishing the criteria for determining whether a product must undergo the type approval process before entering the market
It introduces a new regulatory compliance model for telecommunications equipment certified in Chile. Equipment requiring certification must include a visible QR code on its packaging or label. This code provides immediate access to a compliance platform where the device’s regulatory information is available.
This update expands the options for including the regulatory QR code, allowing compliance information to be available not only on the product packaging but also directly on the equipment or in the accompanying documentation, such as user manuals, warranty certificates, or other documents provided to the customer.
